Privacy Policy
Document version: DLS-PP-2026.10.26
Effective Date: 10/01/2025
Last Updated: 10/26/2026
Introduction
Moneyling LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Dreamlife-Sim™ mobile application and web platform (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our educational financial planning platform.
This Privacy Policy covers the Dreamlife-Sim™ app and web platform. Your visits to our website, www.moneyling.org, including its cookies, analytics, and advertising measurement, are covered by our Website Privacy & Cookie Notice.
Important: Dreamlife-Sim™ is an educational tool designed to teach financial literacy. We do not provide financial advice, brokerage services, or investment recommendations.
Information We Collect
Personal Information You Provide
- Account Information: Email address, first name (for personalization), and password
- Profile Information: Age, a location you choose to enter, and educational preferences. The optional approximate-location permission is limited to country and state, as described below.
- Simulation Data: Your lifestyle, career, and retirement planning inputs (optional and should not include personal identifiers)
- Communication Data: Messages you send to our support team
Data We Collect for Identity
- First Name: For personalization purposes only
- Email Address: For account management and communication
- Last Name: Users may provide a last name; if provided, we may have it
- Optional Simulation Inputs: Additional simulation inputs are optional and should not include personal identifiers
AI-Generated Information
We keep all AI-generated information created from your inputs (e.g., simulations, reports, tasks, and other outputs generated by the App). We use this information for aggregated data and insights—including to operate, improve, and develop the Services and to generate statistics and de-identified insights—as further described in How We Use Your Information and Information Sharing and Disclosure below.
Information We Collect Automatically
- Usage Analytics: App interactions, feature usage, and session duration
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version
- Performance Data: App crashes, loading times, and error logs
- Approximate Location (with your permission): Country and state only, looked up from your internet connection (IP address), not GPS, to tailor your experience and local offerings. See Approximate Location below.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Financial Account Information: Bank accounts, credit cards, or investment accounts
- Social Security Numbers: We never request or store SSNs
- Detailed Personal Information: Addresses, phone numbers, or other sensitive identifiers
Use of Protected Resources (Device Capabilities)
If the App requests access to device capabilities such as the camera or microphone, we use them only as described below. Each purpose is explained clearly with a specific example of how the data or capability is used.
Camera
Purpose: If the app requests camera access, the camera is used solely to allow you to capture or upload images for use within the App’s educational or personalization features (for example, to add a photo to your profile or to a simulation scenario).
Example of use: You might take a photo of a document or upload a picture so the App can incorporate it into a financial planning visualization or profile. We do not use the camera for identification, advertising, or any purpose other than the feature you choose to use.
Microphone
Purpose: If the app requests microphone access, the microphone is used only for features that require voice input (for example, voice-based search or accessibility).
Example of use: You might speak a question or command so the App can respond with educational content or navigate the App hands-free. Audio is processed only for that feature and is not used for identification, advertising, or unrelated purposes.
Approximate Location
Purpose: With your permission, we use your approximate location — country and state only (not GPS) — to tailor your experience and local offerings.
How it works: Before any lookup, the App asks for your permission. This choice is optional and is separate from accepting the Terms of Service. If you allow it, we estimate your country and state from your internet connection, not GPS and not your device location services, by sending your IP address to our service provider GeoJS. GeoJS uses that IP address only to return the country and state. We save your country and state. We do not save your IP address, coordinates, city, county, or street address.
Your choice: If you say no, we do not look up your location, and we delete any approximate location we saved before. You can change this choice anytime in Settings. Declining does not prevent you from creating an account or using the core educational Service.
Example of use: If you allow approximate location, the App can tailor living-cost estimates and local offerings, such as partners and in-person events, to your state. We use your country and state inside Dreamlife-Sim™ for that purpose. We do not send your country, state, or IP address to those partners.
Other Capabilities
For any other protected resource (e.g., photos library), we will describe the purpose and a specific example of use in the in-app permission prompt and in this Privacy Policy. We do not use any capability for purposes beyond what we clearly describe to you.

Information Sharing and Disclosure
We Do NOT Share Personal Information With
- Third-Party Advertisers: No advertising or marketing partners
- Data Brokers: No sale or rental of personal information
- Social Media Platforms: No automatic sharing of your data
Partner Institution Linking
Linking Dreamlife-Sim™ to a participating bank, credit union, or other financial institution is voluntary and not required to use the Service. By default, we do not connect your account to any institution and we do not share information with one.
If you choose to link, the App shows a data-sharing consent for that institution. Nothing is shared with the institution until you tap I agree — link institution. You can cancel and keep using Dreamlife-Sim™ without linking.
After you agree, we share anonymized, aggregate data only with that institution. That link does not include your name, email, personal information, or individual activity.
Event registration. If you register for an event, the App may ask separately whether you agree to share your email with the institution for that registration. We share your email for an event only when you agree to that request. Declining it does not remove an institution link you already approved, and it does not block the rest of the Service.
You can unlink an institution at any time from your institution page. After you unlink, we stop sharing aggregate data with that institution. Unlinking does not prevent use of the core educational Service.
Sponsored or partner access that does not share data with an institution (for example, redeeming a sponsorship code) is governed by this Privacy Policy.
Limited Sharing Scenarios
- Service Providers: Trusted vendors who help operate our platform (under strict confidentiality), including GeoJS for country-and-state lookups when you allow them. GeoJS may use the IP address only to return that country and state.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect rights
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition (with notice)
- Consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing—including partner institution linking after you tap I agree — link institution, and sharing your email for an event only when you agree to that registration request
Use of Data and Outputs
- License to Operate and Improve: You retain ownership of your submissions and outputs. You grant Moneyling™ a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, analyze, and create derivative works from your inputs, reports, and AI outputs solely to (i) provide and improve the Services, (ii) develop new features, and (iii) produce aggregated, de-identified insights and statistics
- No Sale of Contact Information: We do not sell contact information. We may share limited data with service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics, payments) under contracts that restrict use to our instructions
Data Security
Protection Measures
- Encryption: All data encrypted in transit and at rest
- Access Controls: Limited access to authorized personnel only

Age and Eligibility
13 and older
Dreamlife-Sim™ is one service. It is not directed to children under 13, and there is no separate children's version. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. This rule is the same in the Apple App Store app, the Google Play app, and the web app, including when a school, family, or sponsor gives you access.
During signup, the age confirmation is off until you select it. It reads: “I confirm that I am 13 years of age or older.” We do not open an account unless you are 13 or older and you give that confirmation. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 13.
COPPA. Dreamlife-Sim™ complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act because the service is for people 13 and older, is not directed to children under 13, and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. An account is not opened for anyone who is not 13 or older.
School use
A school may use this same Dreamlife-Sim™ with students who are 13 or older. The age confirmation still applies. Where FERPA applies, the school controls the education records and Moneyling™ processes them to provide the service. We do not use student information from a school deployment for behavioral advertising.
A younger person inside a 13+ plan
An account holder who is at least 13 may model a scenario about a younger person, such as a first job through retirement. That model does not create an under-13 account. Do not enter a real child's name, email, phone number, or other personal identifier. Use a generic label.
Subscription and Payment Information
Monthly subscription plans include a free tier, $9.99 per month, and $19.99 per month. Functional links to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use (EULA) are provided in the app and in each store’s or product’s listing. How your payment is processed depends on where you subscribe:
- Apple App Store (iOS): The App Store is the only platform where we use Apple Pay / In-App Purchase for subscription payments. If you subscribe on an Apple device, the title, length, price, and links to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use are provided in the app and in App Store metadata as required by Apple. Payments are processed by Apple.
- Google Play (Android) and Web App: Subscriptions purchased through Google Play or the web app are processed by Stripe (not Apple Pay). Title, length, price, and links to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use are shown in the app or on the web at the time of purchase.
You can access our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service (EULA) at any time; the same links are available in the app and in the relevant store or product listing.
Payment Processing
- By platform: Apple App Store (iOS) — Apple’s payment system (Apple Pay / In-App Purchase); Google Play (Android) — Google’s payment system; Web app — Stripe.
- No Storage: We do not store credit card or payment information
- Encrypted Transmission: All payment data encrypted during processing
Subscription Management
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
- Cancellation: Cancel anytime through your account settings
- Refund Policy: See Terms of Service for refund terms
- Billing Information: Processed securely by payment providers
International Data Transfers
Data Processing Locations
- Primary Storage: United States (with appropriate safeguards)
- Processing Partners: May include international service providers
- Data Privacy Framework: Where a service provider is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, transfers to that provider may rely on it
- Standard Contractual Clauses: Additional protections for EU data

Version History
- DLS-PP-2026.10.26 (October 26, 2026): Dreamlife-Sim™ is one service for people 13 and older. Signup requires confirmation that the person is at least 13, and that confirmation is off until selected. We do not open an account for anyone who is not 13 or older. There is no separate under-13 version. Schools use this same app only with students who are 13 or older. Student accounts, including accounts not linked to a partner institution, do not receive advertising cookies or ads. www.moneyling.org is the marketing site and is not for students.
- DLS-PP-2026.10.18 (October 18, 2026): Limited optional approximate location to country and state only (not GPS, city, or county), estimated from the IP address through GeoJS, to tailor your experience and local offerings. We do not save the IP address or coordinates. Declining does not prevent you from creating an account or using the Service, and we do not send that country or state to local partners. Partner Institution Linking is described in this policy: after you agree, we share anonymized aggregate data only, and that link does not include your name, email, personal information, or individual activity. Your email may be shared for an event only if you agree to a separate registration request. You can unlink at any time.
- DLS-PP-2026.10.12 (October 12, 2026): Expanded the approximate location section: we look up country, state, and county or region from your IP address (not GPS) through GeoJS, with your permission, to show local living costs, partners in your community, and in-person workshops, events, and meetings; we do not save your exact location or street address; declining deletes any approximate location saved before.
- DLS-PP-2026.10.02 (October 2, 2026): Clarified that this policy covers the Dreamlife-Sim™ app and web platform, and that www.moneyling.org is covered by the Website Privacy & Cookie Notice; replaced the EU-US Privacy Shield reference with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
- DLS-PP-2026.08.06 (August 6, 2026): Previous version (originally effective October 1, 2025).
This Privacy Policy is effective as of 10/01/2025 and was last updated on 10/26/2026. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any changes.
